Our main means of communication over the years has been our annual Fellowship Newsletter; keeping the theme of the Good Shepherd, we titled it - Flock News! This page contains our Fellowship archives of all issues since our first year in 2002. Now we have made all the issues available for your easy perusal by clicking on the year you wish to read. Together, they all combine to tell the year-by-year story of the Good Shepherd Fellowship from it's inception up to the present day.
Over the years, the newsletter has only been published annually, to coincide with our Fellowship's anniversary - the first Sunday of July. It has included news from the previous twelve months and diary dates for the year to come plus other articles of interest at that time. In the earlier editions our chairman, the Rev. Adrian Magor, has written a short message, and our Secretary has always included a short account of the highlights of the year.
More recently, our PCT member Syd Gardner has written "Syd's Soap-Box" as our main page 3 article. Our Pastor, Graham, has written most of the content each year, and included some of the themes of Bible teaching we have looked at throughout the previous year.
Every Sunday morning, our Secretary Margaret prepared a notice sheet for items and dates for the coming week. Of course, since lockdown, we were unable to meet regularly so we had to find another way of communicating with all our Flock. And so commenced our weekly Sunday morning text which goes out early morning to all our Flock, and beyond, to all who can receive texts on their phones. This has been a lifeline for keeping everyone informed of issues regarding the Pandemic and its effect on the Fellowship's future.
Also, during the pandemic years of 2020-21, we have been producing interim "Flock News" editions (also available here) which we published and sent out in the Harvest, Christmas, and Easter, with the excellent assistance of our newly appointed website coordinator Adam Charters. Adam has also prepared quiz pages to keep our minds sharp during these difficult times. Thanks initially to Brenda Thomas (Church Treasurer), for setting up the original website, and now thanks to Adam for revamping and designing this new version which now contains lots more information - especially our archive Flock News. Just click on the year you wish to read, and it will all be available to you.
