Serving God in the Community of Exeter
Serving God in the Community of Exeter
We are a non-denominational Christian Fellowship serving the Exeter community and beyond with an emphasis on the elderly and less mobile.
Welcome to our website. We are an eclectic, inter-denominational group of Christians who want to share the Gospel in practical ways in and around our lovely city. We meet together to encourage prayer, reading of the Bible, and singing songs of praise together.
Throughout the year we organise events and meetings with the purpose of fellowship and encouragement. Join us at our monthly service at St. Michael's Chapel in Paignton, or get in touch through our email and contact page.
The Good Shepherd Fellowship meets once a month for a Church service at St. Michael's Court in Paignton. Contact us to find times or organise transportation
We hold a number of Fellowship events every year where all are welcome, and distribute regular newsletters and prayer books to our flock
As a Church Fellowship we support each other and the world around us through prayer, as well as financially supporting good causes near and far
I've lived and worked in Exeter for many years, initially as a chef, but later as a Scheme Manager for sheltered housing for senior citizens. In the late '70s and early '80s I served with the Christian mission, Operation Mobilisation (OM), on their ship the MV Doulos in and around South America, and then as a team lorry driver in South India.
Since 1994, I am a married family man, living with my wife Aura Marina in Exeter, with whom we have our grown-up son Adam (our website coordinator), with his wife Loxley.
As you can read in our 'History' section, it was through my time working at Good Shepherd Drive that we started The Good Shepherd Fellowship. The Fellowship has grown over the past two decades and moved premises a couple of times. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the effects it had on our aging congregation, we had to make the difficult decision to cease our regular Sunday morning services after 19 years.
This is the beginning of a new chapter for us; The Fellowship is moving into a more personal and home-based ministry, and this website will be a significant point of access for our current and future activities.
Enjoy perusing the following pages and please remember us in your prayers. Thank you.
